The Broken Bow of Guryeo

“It’s all right to tremble. Just don’t stop.”

Those are the last words seventeen-year-old Gu Mugyeong carries with him from the night House Guryeo burned.

The Black Iron Cavalry came bearing a writ to erase his bloodline. He escaped with three things: Duskcrow, a black sword that swallows the light; Blackbough, a bow snapped nearly in half; and an ember buried in his core—a dying man’s power, poured into a vessel far too small to hold it. Use it, and it burns him from the inside. Leave it sealed, and the hunters who can sense it will draw a line straight to his back.

Survival is only the beginning.

A sword can avenge the dead. It cannot restore their names. If Mugyeong is to carry Guryeo forward, he must master the inheritance consuming him, restore the broken bow that once answered his desperation with fire, and gather the scattered and forgotten of the northern frontier.
