Stellar Conquest of the Returned Immortal
Synopsis
Some men would claim the will to conquer heaven, but there is no special throne to take. There are only men up there in the sky, and only human rumps occupying the thrones. Those with the will to conquer the stars are nothing more than ordinary butchers, the same ones you’d find on the ground. They all sacrifice the things that make them human, transferring themselves away into fleeting banes and mantras that can never make up for the will to conquer eternity.
The empty stars cry out for salvation from a man imprisoned a million years ago. His prison was said to be indestructible, but a fool’s conception of the almighty is no more profound than a blade of grass. The ones who imprisoned him claimed not even cosmic death could harm his eternal prison, but how can dead fools possibly claim to understand the nature of eternity?
For the one returned from that said to be forever, there is no such thing as death. It cannot be conceived of, for while most cultivators have written themselves mantras and banes that augment their natural and supernatural power, the Dao is not something that can be understood simply in terms of pros and cons. Jiang Guo, once almighty, forever the destined ruler of all creation, has but two simple lines in his scripture:
「I will live」
「I will conquer」
And so it will be done. He has returned from dead immortals’ conceptions of eternity to reclaim the thrones occupied by the fools under all heavens that proclaim to understand the nature of the stars. Jiang Guo, once the demon king of all creation, now the returned immortal, shall conquer the stars, and nothing will stand in his way.
