Especially since Caden signed up for NextLife, the premier digital afterlife service. But when he wakes up in the Realm of Alerion instead of Sunset Bay, the paradise resort he paid for, he quickly learns that coasting through a world of magic, monsters, and dungeons isn't going to be an option.

Recruited by an experienced adventuring party as their healer, Caden must learn where he fits in before he's left to fend for himself. As he explores a world where death isn't always permanent and secrets hide behind every corner, he discovers that some wounds can't be healed by magic alone.

I'm Michael Kocha, an indie game developer best known for creating the open world RPG "Swords 'n Magic and Stuff" on Steam. Arcane Mender is my debut novel and the first story set in the Realm of Alerion world.
