The fire gremlin who bonds through property damage. The student council president who teases on purpose. Yeju's power climbs with every wrong turn she takes, the story warps further out of shape around her, and the actual protagonist has started following her with a very reasonable question.

Why does the world keep rewriting itself around a girl who was meant to die on page one?
