Draka is a Paladin: a warrior with the Holy Spirit inside him, commanding him in battle against the legions of Hell that are bent on conquering the world and any who serve them. Having fulfilled his duty to the Order of Holy Sepulcher, he can finally set off to finish his secret final Oath without them getting in the way. At least, until he’s given a vow of silence and lands in a faraway place called Talkro, where a farmer and his family think he’s some kind of noble instead of a barbarian-turned-knight that prefers sleeping beside his horse instead of a bed.

Peace and quiet before that last oath, that’s all he wants. Not lands. Not power. Not his new neighbor’s daughter, Maud, who is half his age, as a wife. But what he doesn't  know is that the love and friendship he will build with Maud will be stronger, deeper, and more unbreakable than any love he had ever felt before. A father's love.

Aurie is everything her family needs her to be. A good mother. The dutiful wife. But when her husband, Balor, has his mind set on a mysterious foreigner, Draka, who moves into the village as their daughter’s future husband, something must be done. He’s too old, too silent, too…something. Those eyes and his kindness are hiding something dark and—wealthy or not, if Balor’s assumptions are right—he haunts her. Her thoughts. Her dreams...her nightmares. Draka has brought more than his horse and gold with him. He’s brought evil to their village and needs to be sent back to wherever he came from before their daughter starts to open her heart to him and it's too late.

God always has a reason…this place, this family. Draka isn’t certain why, but the moment the farmer's wife, Aurie, appears in his dreams, he knows that he's always been bound to her and her family in some way. Connected. Fated to be in each other's lives. Chosen for something.

And Draka’s old enemies-demons and someone much more insidious-are gathering while new ones emerge, all trying to put an end to whatever that fate may be before it begins.

So, he must fight. For a family that isn't his...

For Maud...

For everything. 

But who will fight for him?

For his soul?

VOLUME 5: HIND OF DAWN NOW RELEASING!!!

What to Expect:

-Slow burn story progression, but there are time skips at the beginning of every volume. (Lots of dramatic portrayals of slice of life) 

-Occasional fight/battle scenes, scenes reflecting symptoms of trauma, and horrific sequences. Disclaimers will precede these.

-Religious (Christian) Themes.

-Each volume begins with a short excerpt from the Paladin's third testament scriptures,  written in biblical style, that presents the central theme of that volume.

-Diverse cast of characters who branch off on their own in interconnected plot lines as the story progresses, broadening the world and lore (as of Volume 4, pre-volume lists of characters and their prominent relationships to each other will accompany each volume release).

 What not to Expect:

-Constant action.

-Sexually explicit content.
