Synopsis

The gavel fell, and Ethan Ashford lost the only thing he'd never meant to risk.

Two years ago he had a wife, a son, and a career on an unstoppable trajectory. Now he's standing on the courthouse steps, the separation final, watching his breath fog in the cold, wondering exactly when he chose the machine over the people who loved him.
