Ossian was a classless porter who survived by carrying equipment for hunters with real power.

When his guild abandoned him inside a Gate, he became bait for a monster that should never have existed.

That desperate victory awakened a glitched system that identified his ordinary human body as his first equipped mask.

Every monster he kills can now become another mask, granting him its stats, instincts, abilities, and evolution paths.

By mastering those masks, Ossian permanently retains half their power and can stack their abilities across his evolving gauntlets.

He can also bind masks to other people and their weapons, but their choice is permanent.

While Ossian may change masks without limit, anyone who accepts one from him must wear that power for life.

With every hunt, Ossian grows from a disposable porter into the leader of his own feared guild.

Yet the system empowering him was designed for a monster meant to infiltrate humanity, create loyal servants, and replace the civilization around it.

Humanity may be Ossian’s first mask, but it will not be his last.
