Synopsis

Volume 1 — Entry Grid

Eli Mercer can see the mistake before everyone else. He just has one problem: he’s never had to make the move himself.

For years, Eli has studied Gridbound from the safety of replays—a competitive game fought across a nine-by-nine arena with projected monsters, shifting terrain, and only two activations per turn.

From the stands, every decision looks clear.

Behind the command rail, it isn’t.

After a casual challenge exposes the gap between analysis and actual play, Eli enters his first sanctioned tournament with twelve ordinary pieces, no ranking, and a habit of seeing good moves without always seeing what they cost.

Every opponent teaches him a different lesson. Every match gives the next player more information about him. And the deeper Eli goes, the less Gridbound becomes a puzzle to solve—and the more it becomes a contest over which problems you can force the other player to answer.

GRIDBOUND is a strategy-heavy competitive GameLit series focused on tactical matches, roster building, rivalries, and skill progression—without transported-to-another-world mechanics or RPG stat screens.
