Two years ago, a devastating car accident Changed Ian's life, claiming both of his parents and leaving his brother permanently crippled. Struggling to move forward, the brothers found comfort in tabletop roleplaying games, where adventures and imaginary worlds offered a brief escape from their grief.

For a time, it was enough.

Then their friend and Dungeon Master, Dim, unveiled a new homebrew campaign unlike any they had played before. The group dove into the adventure, fought new kinds of monsters and travelled through new places before eventually reaching its conclusion.

They thought the game was over.

But the real campaign was just starting.

The next morning, Ian and his friends awakened with the powers, skills, and abilities of their characters. Across the world, monstrous creatures that should have existed only in fiction began appearing and slaughtering people. Civilization fell into chaos as it faced threats they never knew existed.
