Every Divine Contract comes with a debt.

When that debt can no longer be paid, angelic Collectors descend to claim the contractor's soul, leaving behind nothing but a mindless Default.

Fifteen years ago, Aeron Cross watched his parents get Collected. Since then, he's lived for one purpose - 

To become strong enough to kill what should never be able to die. To do that, he must survive the Tithe - the ritual where the gods offer mortals their Contracts.

Refusal is a death sentence. Acceptance is a lifetime of debt.
