For centuries the Twelve Great Clans have ruled over the Physical and Astral realms, their bloodlines blessed by the Pantheons they serve. Among them, the Solaris Clan stood at the pinnacle... Until betrayal tore their legacy apart.

Cyrus the last heir of the Solaris Clan is on the run with his father, seeking sanctuary in another country as they try and escape the grasp of a shadow organization who wants to rid the world of the Twelve Great Clans. During the journey Cyrus is forced to undergo his Starbirth trial. A trial once passed, allows the person to connect with a given constellation. When Cyrus astral projects into the astral realm, he does not connect with his clan's constellation. He connects with a mysterious constellation with unknown power.

Now blessed with unique power, Cyrus decides he wants to fight back and get revenge on the person who killed his mother and the rest of his clan. But after a reckless first encounter he quickly realizes he does not have the power to exact his revenge. So to get stronger Cyrus decides to become a Rift Runner. A profession where starbound are enlisted to protect the world from threats that come from outside the world of Valonara.

In this cosmic fantasy follow Cyrus on his quest to become powerful enough to obtain revenge, while unlocking the secrets of the astral realm and the origin of his powers
