Fornia: Rise of Demons (Family oriented progression fantasy)
Synopsis
Announcement:
Due to the comments left by Morphinne and Mocchi, I have removed the prologue.
In its place, there will be a batch of new initial chapters that will bridge into the existing ones, which I will post as soon as they're completed. Enjoy!
The removed prologue is posted on my Patreon page for free.
I will begin polishing some of the first drafts I've written so far: mostly grammar, scene descriptions, arrangements and etc. I might delete some redundant scenes and provide extra elaborations in others, but the story will not be changed.
Polishing progress:
Ch 1-50.
Major changes: Ch8-25, tuned down Jonathan's immaturity when he was under status ailment. Revealed the status ailments that Patrick saw when he cast Appraisal on Jonathan.
Removed chapters: Frist Impression, Soaring, Life in the Village, Avalon and Bluefield, Slave Collar, Grievous Wound
Release schedule:
As soon as they're completed.
Synopsis:
This story explores a scenario where protagonists have family obligations.
Warning:
* Tragedies and emotional scenes.
* Unreliable Narrators: Beware, characters may not always speak the truth.
Theme of the Story:
* Contrasting the innocence of children/teenagers with the harshness of reality: How do parents protect and nurture their children in this world? What preparations can they make?
* Defining good and bad: If someone makes a bad choice for a good reason, are they guilty?
Unlike Many Other Fantasy Stories:
* No adults in children/teenager's skins.
* No 15-year-olds trying to save the world (a relatively fair power system).
* Flawed protagonists. People experience puberty, gain life experiences, misspeak, have selfish desires, agendas, and emotional drives.
What to Expect:
* A slow-burn narrative
* Complex characters with agendas
* Characters across ages: innocent children, immature teenagers, young adults finding direction, and older adults navigating reality
* Adventurer's Guild, Merchant's Guild, Craftsman's Guild
* Capitalism in full throttle: Realistic politics, religion and power struggles.
* A unique world blending fantasy and modern elements (industrial revolution with mana instead of fossil fuel)
* An extensive power system to explore as the main characters grow and learn
