Wearing Power Armor to a Magic School
Synopsis
In the year 3027 humanity makes a breakthrough, the first interdimensional portal to another world is opened, and a candidate is sent through.
He died immediately upon arrival.
It is now the year 3047, and humanity prepares to send a second candidate, this time equipped with the tools and equipment necessary to survive in this hostile world. A world of wizards and sorcery, fueled by an energy previously unknown to science: mana. An energy which proves to be deadly to the human body.
Emma Booker is a 19 year old ROTC candidate chosen for this task, to fulfill the requirements set by this magical realm known only as The Nexus, as they demand a college-age candidate enroll in a magical academy. The candidate will be tested and assessed to prove their worth, and by extension, the worth of their home realms.
Yet all is not as it seems, and there is more lurking underneath this bright and fantastical world of High Fantasy.
Challenges will befall Emma as she navigates everything from ancient magical conspiracies, to political intrigue amongst her noble peers. She will face threats both existential, and personal.
Even the act of eating and drinking will prove to be a major challenge, as she has to do all of this whilst trapped inside a suit of power armor designed to protect her from the dangers of mana.
Armed with a sidearm, a laser cannon, a railgun, and raw human wit bolstered by an AI, Emma will have to choose between a careful balance of strength and diplomacy to see herself through her first year at the Transgracian Academy for the Magical Arts.
