Long Xian's first act in this new world is to save a merchant and his daughter from corrupt border collectors. That decision draws him toward Castle Oakhaven, where missing delvers, intelligent dungeons, necrotic contamination, political extortion, and an approaching beast wave reveal a borderland already beginning to fail.

Survival will require more than higher numbers. Every enemy has rules. Every skill has limits. Every item has an owner. Every victory creates legal, financial, emotional, and political consequences.
