Synopsis

After losing her job at the city archives, Evelyn receives an invitation from an institution that officially does not exist.

Paired with Simon, an experienced recovery agent who believes the truth often causes more harm than closure, Evelyn must weigh the wishes of the dead against the needs of the living. Every case presents an impossible choice, and every recovered object carries a story someone tried to bury.

But when entries begin vanishing from the Bureau’s ancient Ledger, Evelyn realizes that more than objects are being lost.
