Synopsis

The first five chapters and prologue from a personal writing project, so far entitled "The Arena." These early sections are largely world and character building, rather than development-focused. The story is split across three "perspective characters" who have interconnected journeys. Two of them are prisoners/gladiators, and are focused on both survival and escape, whereas the third is a scholar intent on studying the magical creatures and materials of the world. In the provided sections, they do not yet meet as a complete group.
