Synopsis

She wakes up in another world—reborn as a beast.

She looks a little like a tanuki, though apparently she isn’t one. A dragon has claimed the land directly above her burrow, and there is not much she can do about that in the body of a small animal. Troublesome.

Before long, she is saddled with debt, monsters roam the roads, and the pests destroying the fields are much worse than ordinary insects.

Still, the food is delicious, and there are good people to meet along the way.

This is the story of a woman reborn as an unusual beast, learning to survive in a world of dragons and monsters, putting down roots, and slowly finding a place where she belongs.

Even if she learns to take a human shape, that does not make living as a human easy.

One step at a time, she continues making a life in this world.
