I was Trapped in a Case That Should Have Been Easy (BETA)
Synopsis
Synopsis
In a world where every detective is connected to the Detective System, one rule can never be broken: one detective, one case.
The moment a detective accepts an investigation, the Detective System permanently binds itself to that case. It records every clue, analyzes every piece of evidence, and assists its detective until the truth is found. Until then, the detective cannot abandon it, transfer it, or choose another investigation.
Fresh out of the Detective Academy, Kevin Yawnson wants the safest beginning possible. Ignoring glory, he chooses what appears to be the easiest Common-rank case in the Case Hall—a fifteen-year-old boy who supposedly died after being struck by a rock.
A simple case.
A quick promotion.
Or so he thought.
As Kevin digs deeper, impossible evidence begins to surface. The Detective System suddenly promotes the investigation from Common to Uncommon... then to Rare... revealing that the case was never as simple as it seemed.
What started as the easiest case in the Case Hall slowly becomes the greatest unsolved investigation in history.
Now trapped in a case that grows more dangerous with every answer, Kevin must uncover the truth before the Detective System reaches its final conclusion—or before the case consumes the rest of his life.
