THE VILLAIN CEO'S SECOND CHANCE PLAYBOOK
Synopsis
Park Jun Ho spent six years being the most capable person in every room he entered and the least recognized. He was a financial analyst who did exceptional work, lived in a small apartment with a dying houseplant named Gerald, and read web novels about powerful protagonists to cope with a life that felt like a story he wasn't the main character of.
He died of overwork at twenty-six. His last conscious thought was about a villain who wasted his potential.
He woke up as that villain.
Kai Shen — heir to Shen Corporation, Aurelion City's second largest conglomerate, and the designated punching bag of the modern urban fantasy novel The Rising Tide — was supposed to spend eighty-nine chapters being humiliated, outmaneuvered, and ultimately discarded by the story's protagonist Ren Zhou. A man with genuine talent, wasted by arrogance, destined to be forgotten.
Park Jun Ho had read that story three times. He had written a fourteen-hundred-word review of exactly where Kai Shen went wrong at every decision point.
He intended to make none of those mistakes.
What he didn't expect was Aria — a system with the appearance of a luminous young woman, the personality of someone who has been watching a bad play for too long and is cautiously excited about the new cast, and a habit of flirting with him at precisely the moments that required his complete concentration.
What he also didn't expect was how complicated it would become to outmaneuver a story while living inside it. The heroines were real people, not character profiles. The protagonist was genuinely admirable in ways that made strategic opposition feel uncomfortably personal. His own family was more layered than the novel suggested. And Aurelion City — with its hidden world of Awakened individuals, ancient bloodline families, and a shadow council that ran everything from behind glass-tower facades — was deeper and more dangerous than three readings had prepared him for.
Kai Shen was supposed to lose.
But Park Jun Ho had spent his whole life losing and learning. He was done with the first part.
The Villain CEO's Second Chance Playbook is a modern urban fantasy web novel featuring a villain protagonist with full plot foreknowledge, a choice-based system with a personality, a growing harem of heroines the story never intended for him, corporate warfare, Awakened combat, slow-burn romance, and the question of whether a man who chose to be the villain can become something worth rooting for.
