After an exhausting grocery run, Bongo returns home hoping for a quiet evening—only to find his reckless friend Yinshu waiting with a battered rice cooker that looks suspiciously cursed.

Ignoring every warning sign, Yinshu feeds Bongo’s expensive premium rice into the cooker’s swirling violet abyss. Against all logic, the strange appliance produces the most delicious rice Bongo has ever tasted: perfectly cooked, glowing, and almost magical.

Then the rice starts talking.

What begins as an incredible dinner quickly turns into supernatural chaos when the sentient grains accuse Bongo of devouring their brethren and threaten rebellion. As Yinshu flees with the cursed appliance, Bongo is left alone to face a bowl of furious abyssal rice—and reconsider every life choice that brought him to this moment.
