Synopsis

Dorran wakes in a world that appears to be paradise.

Its people live without hunger, illness or war, protected by three absolute laws:

Thou shall not kill.

Thou shall not steal.

Thou shall not lie.

Those who obey are promised peace. Those who break the rules face punishment from the Zelox—strange beings who act with one shared mind.

But Dorran remembers nothing about who he is or how he arrived there. Seeking answers, he enters the Foundation, a vast tower said to contain the truth behind their perfect world.

What waits beneath it is not paradise.

As Dorran descends, he discovers the horrifying cost of the civilisation above—and is forced to decide whether a beautiful lie deserves to survive when its foundations are built upon unimaginable suffering.
