Sovereign of Law

Void...

An endless void with no boundaries, subject to none of the laws of physics.

There was no sense of time or space... no sound, not even the sound of emptiness itself. It was as if one were blind, unable to see anything; deaf, unable to hear anything; and mute, unable to utter a single word.

Then what meaning could life possibly have?

Yet, at this very moment, this was not a blind, deaf, and mute person. He was an ordinary man who could see, hear, and speak.

But now, he found himself in such a situation, unable to feel anything. It was like a dream that stretched across millions of years, only to disappear the instant one awakened. Only a few seconds had truly passed, yet he had experienced every one of those countless years.

How was that possible?

In an instant, his sense of self returned.

The process of forming thoughts became slow and clouded, but after several attempts, a single thought finally emerged.

"Where am I...?"

To keep that thought from fading away, he repeated it to himself over and over within his mind, as though speaking it aloud would awaken his consciousness.

The moment he regained control of his thoughts and recovered his awareness, the scene before him unfolded.
