The Shield Before Them

Deyron arrived at the gates of an unfamiliar city with five copper coins, no allies, and no place to call home.

He was not the strongest warrior. He carried no legendary bloodline, no ancient inheritance, and no overwhelming gift. What he had was a shield, the will to stand his ground, and the instinct to protect the people fighting beside him.

After joining the Adventurers’ Guild, Deyron finds his place within a small party known as the Dawn Path. Together, they face dangerous dungeons, deadly creatures, hidden enemies, and trials that push them far beyond their limits.

As the battles grow harder, Deyron begins to change. He learns that being a defender is not only about enduring attacks. It is about controlling the battlefield, guiding his allies, and becoming the wall that stands between them and death.

But every shield eventually meets a force strong enough to break it.

And when that day comes, Deyron must decide how much he is willing to sacrifice for the people standing behind him.
