Miss Muffet and the Hollow Silk

The spider came back. It always comes back.

Stewart Norris lost his leg overseas and his patience shortly after. So when Paratext Innovations offers real money to test a full-immersion VR scenario built on nursery rhymes, he signs the forms without reading them. How dangerous can Little Miss Muffet be?

The answer is Tuffet Hollow: a dying pocket-world of sentient curds, corrupted whey, and silk that remembers everyone it's wrapped. The locals call the resident horror the Spider. The system calls it something worse — a nemesis boss that evolves every time you survive it, feeds on your fear gauge, and speaks in the voices of the players who didn't make it out.

Stewart spawns with a Grade F prosthetic, a Threadbreaker class nobody's cleared, and a HUD that responds to what he intends instead of what he says. His only ally is the Hollow's actual Miss Muffet — an exiled alchemist on her forty-third cycle through this nightmare, who has watched forty-two versions of this story end badly and would very much like to stop counting.

She needs him to break the rhyme. He needs her to get home. And something on the other side of the simulation is listening to them both.
