Stats and stones
Synopsis
Jordan Lee is a down-to-earth palaeontology professor who never expected his expertise to become the only thing keeping him alive. One minute he’s mid-lecture, the next he wakes up on an endless sandy beach with no memory of how he got there—along with forty-nine other strangers pulled from their everyday lives.
A mysterious journal appears in his pocket, laying out cold, hard facts: this is no ordinary place. It’s a system-run world of harsh rules, strange stats, and survival quests. Jordan soon realises something no one else does: the towering ferns, alien trees, and the things hiding in the shadows don’t just belong to a dangerous wilderness—they belong to a lost age, hundreds of millions of years before humans ever walked the earth.
With only his wits, his knowledge, and a ragtag group of survivors including a delivery driver from Doncaster and a burly shop worker, Jordan must learn to adapt, craft, and level up. But as danger closes in from every direction, he faces a terrifying truth: his understanding of the past might not be enough to save them all.
