The Zero Resonance: The Silent Mark
Synopsis
Every child answers to an element. Soren Hesk answers to none.
At thirteen, Soren's First Resonance left him without a mark and without a future. Now fifteen, he survives as a Hollow mechanic in Ashbridge, a city where eighteen elemental powers determine a child's education, work, status, and place in society.
Then a manufactured monster attacks his younger sister's awakening ceremony.
Soren touches it. Flame, Metal, Beast, and Dream fall silent.
He was never powerless. He carries Zero, a forbidden Resonance capable of interrupting any elemental bond. It may be the only way to expose what the Keepers buried beneath Ashbridge and rescue the Hollow children disappearing into their experiments. But the same bonds Soren can silence also sustain hospitals, transport lines, and living creatures.
The Keepers want him contained. A revolutionary promising equality wants to turn him into a weapon. And every use of Zero takes something from Soren.
To save the missing children and uncover the truth behind the elemental order, Soren must learn more than how to stop power. He must decide when it should end, what must survive it, and who has the right to choose.
