Synopsis

Eli Vance doesn't trust modern databases or flashing screens. An old-school academic with an uncanny eye for physical anomalies, he relies on a rare spatial intuition to navigate the past. While archiving crumbling maps and pre-dynastic texts in the windowless basements of the Smithsonian, Eli spots a pattern—a recurring geometric blueprint hidden in the margins of human history that mainstream archaeology dismisses as mere myth.

When a powerful private defense syndicate abruptly pulls him from the archives to act as the translator for a highly classified, subterranean excavation, Eli thinks he’s finally landed the project of a lifetime. He isn't alone. Alongside a hardened security specialist hired to handle the physical dangers and a brilliant field technician tasked with running the specialized scanners, they are sent deep into the dark to unlock a door that shouldn't exist.

But some secrets were meant to stay buried.

When the excavation takes a catastrophic turn, the syndicate moves to scrub the site, the data, and the crew. Barely escaping with their lives, the academic, the muscle, and the technician find themselves burned, hunted, and stranded outside the system.

Bound together by a mutual interest in staying alive and a shared obsession with the paradigm-shattering truth they left behind in the dark, the three unwitting allies must stick together. Armed only with Eli's handwritten notebooks and their collective wits, they have to finish the excavation on their own terms—before the people tracking them turn the key first.

History is written by the survivors. The rest is buried in the stone.
