ECLIPSION: The Paradox Constellation

When the world was blinked into being, Seven Constellations formed. Solaris. Umbra. Astryx. Aegis. Pyrhos. Thalassa. Gaelion. At their edges, where they touched, seeped crakcs - and through those cracks in time and space rose the Void Sovereign, desiring to consume the Cosmos that had just been born, to destroy what was made.

The Constellations huddled together and realized that desperate times call for desperate measures, and one monster beseeches another. So they created the Eighth Constellation - Eclipsion.

Eclipsion was made of the powers of the Seven Constellations and it rose in its monstrous form to help stop the Void Sovereign.

The war raged on. Millions of years passed, and the Cosmos required more and more warriors to fight on its side against total annihilation. To aid the fight, Constellations send their blessings - fragments of planets swirling around their stars - to living kin. Humans, harpies, mermaids, cenaturs... it doesn't matter what you are - the Cosmos needs you. Some receive a fragment of Aegis, the constellation of wind, some receive a fragment of Astryx, constellation of seers. Many charkezi (wielders of fragments) can exist at once... but there can be only one Eclipsion  wielder.

The Champion of Eclipsion has been absent for five hundred years. It's time for a new wielder to awaken... and this time, the responsibility falls on 16 years old Xenia.

She is nothing special, and she would hope to stay that way. Charkezi and their magic are dangerous. There was a boy in her village who received a blessing from the Constellations. He's been shunned. She ran away from him just like everyone else did. And now she realizes... it's her turn. The world she'd known, the home she grew up in will leave her behind just as she will leave it behind.

It's not her choice to attend the Astranea Magic Academy. It's everyone else's, and she isn't asked for her opinion.

The Void Sovereign rages and grows stronger each day, and she needs to grow up fast.

It's hard to grow up. It's hard to be hated. It's hard to be feared.

Xenia has to do all of it while having no House to call her own, no Constellation that would claim her. Can she navigate the life at Astranea while the war between existence and annihilation rages on?
