Synopsis

Thirty-seven years ago, a group of kids on bikes stopped a monster apocalypse from swallowing their small town and, with it, the rest of the world. By the time the sun came up, it had all been dismissed as a mass hallucination.

The kids grew up.

The monsters never stopped being real.

Today, Augustus "Auggie" Dawson is a high school gym teacher, a devoted husband, a father of four, and the sort of gentle giant who always notices the kid eating alone. When a frightened transfer student arrives with something invisible hunting him and his mother, Auggie discovers that some battles never truly ended.

Sometimes the greatest heroes don't wear capes. Sometimes they pack school lunches, host game nights, and open their front door to people who need a safe place to belong.
