Synopsis
Martis has failed to awaken twice. Tomorrow, at twenty years old, he gets his last shot to awaken.
Sixty years ago a meteor hit the world of Mern and nothing stayed the same.
Monsters started showing up in places monsters shouldn't be.
And some people started waking up with power in their eyes enough to fight back, enough to matter.
Martis grew up in an orphanage and now lives off a government stipend in a rundown corner of Hanget City. No family, no connections, nothing going for him except one last chance to awaken before he turns twenty and it's over for good.
