What we left in the Ashes

What We Left in the Ashes is a story and setting based in the world of Forge on the Continent of Iron and the Valley of Crucible. A post-post apocalyptic setting where the people have been rebuilding for a millennium after surviving an apocalypse. The main plot and story will follow a cold and calculating Scale-kin named Cassiel and her over protective friend, a Claw-kin named Garrou. After Cassiel uncovers a map and key to ruins all around the Valley of Crucible they set out on an adventure that eventually leads them to uncovering a dark secret at the Heart of the Valley. The journey is not uneventful however as the pair cross paths with deadly foes, reluctant allies and mysterious, otherworldly powers.

What We Left in the Ashes will mainly be a story focused on the road trip starting with Cassiel and Garrou as they travel from place to place, following the map Cassiel found that shows her the way to long lost ruins from before the apocalypse, all the while being hunted by The Guardians in an effort to take the map and key from her. During their journey they are accompanied by fellow Scale-kin and old friend of Cassiel, Grekk. Grekk is a mage that has a rough history with Cassiel but is forced to travel with her as The Guardians in their pursuit of the key cause enough destruction to force Grekk out of his home. They are also joined by a Quill-kin by the name of Broken-Quinn. Quinn is a wandering sword master who is looking to prove himself in combat and decides that a traveling band of weirdos who attract not only The Guardians but also monsters and aggressive spirits is the best way to hone his skills and blade.
