Iron Self
Synopsis
Ren Shuo was once the youngest cultivator to reach the Ironvault Tier in his sect's history. Then the Ironvault Collapse destroyed everything in a single night — his cultivation base, his reputation, his place in the world. Three years later he survives on the margins of Cindermere, a city where rank determines your rights, your housing, and whether your death requires investigation. He is registered as Unclassified. He is, by every metric the world uses, finished.
When a fragment of a lost and heretical cultivation method falls into his hands, Ren Shuo discovers a path that standard instruments cannot measure and the establishment cannot classify — the Selfshard Method, which draws power not from the world but from the self. From conviction. From identity. From the absolute refusal to be anything other than what you are.
But the deeper he goes, the more he discovers that the Collapse was no accident — and that the people who decided his sect was an acceptable cost are still in place, still powerful, still protected by the same system he is climbing from the bottom of.
Iron Self is a cultivation story about hunger, identity, and the price of becoming something the world cannot ignore. Power is real here. So is what it costs.
