Game of Thrones: The Last Hope
Synopsis
After a long life of honour, sacrifice, and peace, Aragorn II Elessar, King of the Reunited Kingdom, accepts the Gift of Men and passes beyond the circles of the world. There, before Eru Ilúvatar, he asks for only one thing—to be reunited with Arwen.
Instead, he is offered one final duty.
Summoned before the Seven-Who-Are-One, Aragorn learns of a realm where oaths are broken as easily as they're sworn, justice is bought with gold, and honour is mocked as weakness. They do not ask him to conquer kingdoms or claim a throne. They ask him to live as an example of what a true knight—and a true leader—should be.
Reborn in the North years before Robert's Rebellion, Aragorn walks the Wolfswood as nothing more than a wandering ranger. He hunts beasts that threaten villages, destroys bands of outlaws and Ironborn raiders, and asks for little in return. To the smallfolk, he becomes a whispered legend. To the great houses, an unsettling mystery.
In a land where ambition rules and mercy is seen as folly, one man carries the ideals of a forgotten age.
He seeks no crown. No castle. No glory. Only to do what is right.
But can a single honourable man change a realm built on lies, or will Westeros force even the greatest king to abandon his principles?
Honour was enough to save Middle-earth.
Will it be enough to save Westeros?
