The Mark of Flight
Synopsis
Can a bird that was once chained ever fly?
Felix always wanted to be grown up now. He always wanted to have everything figured out. In Eratra, just a small fishing village--just his home--glory does not exist. So he decides to quit his job, say his farewells to family and friends alike, and leave. Though he doesn't manage to leave on his own terms.
He treks through the Rarecrean Plains, across the Sallow Sea, up to the clouds of Silea, he discovers love, grief, pain, fear, anger, but not glory. In glory's place, he finds only a question:
"Do you know how to fly?"
Mira wants to be free.
All the formalities, the events, the trifling obstacles of noble life had worn on her for too long. So she took a stand, and by refusing to marry the prince of Rarecrea, she is sent east as a punishment. She is ordered to colllect recruits for her families army in preperation for the brewing war. She is ordered to collect these recruits by force.
Her task takes her along the coast of Raecrea... to a small fishing village.
There she would find a pair of purple eyes, eyes that would free her from all that she'd spent her life trying to escape. But that freedom did not come without a cost.
Freedom never came freely.
What to expect:
A Medieval setting, dual MC's, coming of age narrative, maybe some flight, EXTREMELY limited romance, wise old 'insane' mentors, uhh and a good time, smiley face emoji :)
