I'm Not the Hero, Dammit!!

In a world covered by endless water, people thrive on islands floating in the sky above. Foul things from the turbulent waters below scheme to sink these islands, led by a malevolent entity sealed away an eternity ago. To stop this threat the gods summon a girl from another world to become their hero, tasking her with pushing back the cunning thralls of the Dark One who would bring about the end of life itself.

Meliora is not that girl. All she wants to do is laze around, work on her hobbies, and be doted on by maids.

Unfortunately, life has other plans in mind for Meliora. One bad night and suddenly she’s trying to balance a new (highly illegal!) side-hustle, an unexpected encounter with a winged woman too curious for her own good, and the rippling waves of a sinister conspiracy that threatens to end all life as she knows it.

With her whole life tossed overboard, it’s up to Meliora to keep up… or else pray she dies quickly.
