Synopsis

The old world order didn’t end all at once. It ended bit by bit. The Global Famine. Disease. The Caliphate Wars. As the old balance of powers shifted, the UN broke under the strain. Today’s world is now controlled by six competing blocs known as The Powers. Unlike the UN, the Powers don’t seek to avoid conflict, they create it, and they fight it using weapons and technology that are not far from our reach.

In 2072, fully autonomous AI run air defense systems rendered joint forcible entry impossible. Anything that flew would be shot down. The era of the paratrooper was over. The era of Orbital Infantry had begun.

DROP follows four troopers of the 1st Orbital Infantry Regiment across the Federation War as they fight to free Europe.

Neal Shelton is the battle-hardened commander of the Angel Battalion. As a young squad leader he was there when Prague fell the first time, watching his comrades die around him, helpless to intervene. Haunted by the Fall of Prague, he must now lead his troops back into the war that broke him.

Andre “Zeus” Hanlin is the Regiment personified. One of the original members of the Drop, he rose to command it. Now, he struggles to balance the burden of leadership with the preservation of his own humanity.

Miri “Maniac” Ortega is a young, reckless combat controller, striving to carve out her identity in the shadow of her parents’ wealth, power, and influence.

Shannon Biggs leads a squad. A seasoned NCO, she is still looking for belonging, seeking meaning in a war waged by the very nation that shattered her family.

From the ruins of Prague to the Dragon's Maw, they will be asked to do it again and again. This is not a war story. It’s a story about war and, ultimately, what it takes from all of us.
