Dungeon Tamer: The Lumberjack's Law

A man suddenly awakens on an unfamiliar mountain, with no memory of his identity. Confused and unarmed, he finds himself hunted by a monstrous hybrid creature, a Boar-Man. Driven by pure survival instinct, the man flees, taking refuge inside a deep cave, ignoring a floating System warning that alerts him he has just entered a Mountain Dungeon. Swallowed by darkness and ambushed by hordes of monsters, he reacts instinctively, discovering to his sheer amazement that he possesses superhuman physical strength.

Amidst the dungeon's shadows, a mental interface reveals the absurd truth: he died and was reincarnated into a world governed by the ironclad laws of a System. Based on his previous life spent toiling relentlessly in the woods, he is granted his first official Class: Lumberjack. Armed with a massive axe that materialized out of thin air, the man, who decides to call himself Goran, carves a path to the first floor's Boss, a lethal Lizard-Man. Defeating it in a brutal melee but choosing to spare its life, Goran meets hidden requirements and unlocks an exceptionally rare secondary Class: Monster Tamer, subjugating the hybrid to his will.

Initially intending to live isolated on the mountain to master his powers, Goran's plans are overturned the very next day. While exploring the dungeon's lower levels, he saves the life of Annabelle, a Healer who survived the massacre of her party by a colossal, berserk Grizzly-Man. After subjugating the bear as well, Goran reveals his abilities to the girl. Terrified yet fascinated, Annabelle shares a dangerous truth: possessing two classes, one of which can control multiple monsters simultaneously, is an anomaly that defies the very laws of the System. If the Guilds or the nobles were to find out, he would become the kingdom's most coveted weapon, or the primary target of assassins.

Convinced by the healer, Goran agrees to descend from the mountain and hide his true nature. Flanked by his hybrids and guided by Annabelle, the Lumberjack sets off toward the boundless and ruthless fantasy metropolis in the valley, ready to uncover his past and break, one axe swing at a time, the rules of this new world.
