Synopsis

Kian Reyes hasn't gotten a text in four days. Then his phone lights up with a message from something that isn't an app — a System, counting down the hours until he's forgotten for good.

In this world, power doesn't come from killing monsters. It comes from being remembered. Every person who thinks of you, however briefly, feeds an Anchor meter that keeps you alive in a very literal sense — and lets you level. Miss the threshold, and the System doesn't just ignore you. It erases you.

Kian is bad at being remembered. He's about to become very good at it, whether he wants the power or not — because some people have already figured out how to weaponize being unforgettable, and they're not being subtle about it.
