Synopsis

The world was broken by a terrible wave of chaos. Civilization is gone. Humanity survives only in scattered pockets of land still fit for life. Lee is a young woman who was once remade to be owned, used, and forgotten. Now she is free, and all she wants is to leave her past behind. In the Dead City, she saves a child from monsters. That choice brings her together with Tan, a gray-haired technomage, and two genetically modified veterans of the old Cyclops unit — Stan and Driver. Together, they travel across the Continent, fighting bionoids: artificially created creatures sent from the Ark, a vast floating city in the ocean. To survive the war, Lee must awaken a power no one fully understands — a power that may turn even the sun itself into a weapon. But Lee does not know she is being watched. High above the Continent, through the eyes of a white eagle, an impartial Observer follows everything that happens below.
