Momo 2 - Hands

I’m Momo. I’m the last human alive.

Everyone else on Planet P’loop has multiple arms, eats rainbow slop from vending machines, and calls me “2-Hands” like it’s a disease.

I work the counter at Alien Munch for a boss who’d sell my organs for 2 Stellar Shards. I cry if you look at me wrong. I laugh every time someone says “P’loop” because it sounds like “poop”. I’m sorry.

Also: Cooking is illegal.

But when I was a kid, I invented something. The first solid food this planet has ever seen. A “Stack”. You humans would call it a burger.

I wrote the recipe in a book. For the kids who eat alone. So 2-Hands isn’t a bad word anymore.

Yesterday, a food inspector named Ego walked into my shop. He looks like death and whispers like a funeral. He told me if I ever touch food, he’ll bury me.

Today, I saw a kid getting bullied for only having two arms.

So I’m going to do it anyway.

I’m going to cook. In a world that banned flavor. With two shaking hands. While broke, fired, and hunted by the health department.

If I fail, human culture dies with me.

If I succeed? I’m opening the first restaurant on Planet P’loop.

Name’s gonna be Momo’s Place.
