The Adventure In Real Life: Reborn
Synopsis
Joe is a struggling, cynical, and hopelessly broke writer trying to make a living. He wants a bestseller, but he has actually never finished a single story.
Then he decides to reboot his seven-year-old masterpiece, The Adventure In Real Life, a nonsensical fantasy world filled with bad writing and child imagination. But, little did he know, he created a portal. As the lines between his reality and his fiction dissolved, Joe was ripped from his desk and forcibly rewritten into his own manuscript.
Now, trapped inside the nonsensical, half baked world he created as a child, Joe must survive. Becoming the protagonist of his own disaster.
The Adventure In Real Life: Reborn. A Disaster of Literary Proportions. A Meta-Comedy Starring a Self-aware and Sarcastic Protagonist.
The world, characters, rules, monsters, and logic all come directly from a story I wrote when I was seven. I always quite fond of these old comic/stories I made back then, (Not nostalgia bait right?) I thought I could explore it further more. Make a new version of it, like a reboot or something. So I made the protagonist called Joe, which is basically me. Writer, who is searching for a new story to write. So instead of telling a story which the main character is from THE world, you know what im saying? What if I put outside people, into the world. It'll be funnier and easier to write too. So I can point out the weird shit here and there. And you know, most stories, when they teleported into an another world. They don't really have an attachment for that world. But for this? He himself, Joe, does have an attachment, he's THE author! He's the one who write the people inside.
And none of this is random—it’s all a callback to a mind that didn't know the rules of storytelling, and that is exactly why it’s dangerous and fun.
