Synopsis

Gabriel was a young soldier who found purpose in war after a directionless life, until he died on the front lines. A decent death, honestly. Honorable. He would take it.

But a cosmic entity grabbed his soul and thrust it into the body of a starving slum child in a foreign world. He inherited the name Dominius, the same name borne by the greatest emperor in human history, and a god's mark was burned into his chest. The entity responsible for his transmigration left him with only three cryptic commands:

"Dominate."

"Absorb."

"Remain."

Gabriel, now Dominius, quickly realized with cold dread that he recognized this world. Esmyrr was the setting of a shitty web novel called the "The Hero of the End Times". He had devoured it obsessively during the bleakest years of his life on Earth. And Aethelmarch, the city he now lived in, was a footnote in that story: background lore destroyed by a monstrous horde before the actual plot even began.

According to the timeline, the city would fall in approximately six months.

"God truly loves me. Doesn't He? Indeed."
