Astraven: The Shadow Between Worlds [LitRPG+Progression+Isekai]

 Kai Nakamura is a 21-year-old struggling with his mental health, who is suddenly thrust into a mysterious world that mirrors one he and his childhood friend, Emily, had once crafted in their imaginations. In this strange, yet familiar land—known as Astraven—Kai is recruited by a band of warriors tasked with fighting a pervasive darkness that threatens to consume everything in its path. As he journeys through Astraven, Kai must grapple not only with the external dangers of the world but also with the lingering shadows of his own mind. Will Kai find the strength to conquer the darkness? Or will he fall to it, like he always thought he would?

Hey everyone! First off, thank you for taking the time to stop by and read my story. For the elevator pitch, Astraven is meant to be a serialized fantasy with LitRPG elements tonally inspired by the Stormlight Archive from Brandon Sanderson. A lot of it will have concepts and tropes LitRPG readers are familiar with (for instance, my protagonist Kai who joins the million other LitRPG protagonists also named Kai) but that's intentional. Astraven was initially something I was writing to get myself through my battles with my mental health, but I came to realize that a journey is better undertaken with others, one that I hope you will join me and Kai on as we fight to save the realm and confront the Shadows within.
