Synopsis

The day I was born my parents rejoiced, so did the world.

Twenty years ago, rifts opened, giving humanity access to the Akashic system—the recorder of everything. Those who entered the rifts were called riftwalkers, they brought many things out with them: gold, gems, artifacts and skillcards.

I too want to become a riftwalker, but not for the boons they give, but to learn the stories they tell. The unconquered fort that fell overnight, the empire which was eaten from inside, the tragedy of the princess who ran away with a pirate.

This story isn't about me becoming overpowered, though it happens anyway. It’s about me doing what I love. Exploring the rifts and experiencing the tales they want to tell.
