Synopsis

The Chosen Hero is destined to vanquish the ultimate evil—or so the Church’s dogmas dictate. Alongside his loyal party and a tamed dragon, he storms the Necropolis floating in the sky, fighting his way straight to the throne of an ancient Lich. But instead of a monstrous tyrant, the Hero encounters a cynical scholar. And right outside the castle window, he discovers a hidden utopia where human refugees live in absolute safety and abundance.

His attempt to tell the Kingdom the truth turns into a complete disaster. His former friends call him a traitor, and the Church brands him a heretic under a mind-control curse. Having lost everything, the former savior of humanity returns to the Necropolis. Now, he is an outcast, an assistant to an immortal mage, and a co-author of his chaotic magical experiments. But can this bizarre friendship survive when the rest of the world decides to wage war against them?
