The Twenty-Ninth Aspect

The realm of Pryn has had twenty-eight isekai protagonists in succession. Locals call these people Aspects, and many view their history as one of saints, monsters, and oddities. The next Aspect will arrive soon.

Neferkar trained half of his life to be the first gentle voice the twenty-ninth Aspect hears. He was born to a family of mind-sorcerers who sometimes forgot he couldn't hear their thoughts. He knows his world can look strange from the outside. He's memorized every precedent, every mistake, every fragile hope left in old Aspect journals and secondhand accounts.

Neferkar is ready to greet the new Aspect kindly, no matter the shadows in the archives. He has sworn to help an outsider walk the paths of Pryn. But the twenty-ninth Aspect will not be a stranger.
