When Serena Noctis, president of the Third Discipline Committee, tries to recruit them, the three refuse and are locked out of every club on campus. Their loophole is the abandoned Natural History Society, a club with zero members, a billion-ka headquarters, and a reputation as one of Ault Academy's seven unsolved mysteries.

To survive, they will need to solve the Ghost Hall, recruit allies no sane club would touch, and learn who is turning academy politics into a battlefield. A school this powerful does not educate its students. It tests whether they can rule.
