Worth Protecting
Synopsis
The world in the games had been so simple. The Pokemon were all friends, the people were (mostly) nice, and the only thing the player ever had to worry about was what Pokemon to catch next. Now, the world was different. Real. Turns out, when the world develops around creatures with super powers and magic bonds it ends up being a bit more rough than the games lead you to believe. An ordinary life prepares few for this new reality. He doesn't want grand quests or world saving missions. He just wants to build a home worth protecting.
Authors Note:
Hello! I'm a new writer, and this is essentially a rough draft. I'm posting it as practice, to grow and find my own style over time. With that, please expect rough edges as you read. Constructive feedback is genuinely welcome, as the goal is to learn.
I'm not using AI to edit/correct my writing, I feel like that defeats the learning, but I do try to correct anything I see.
Also note, the cover is currently something I made with AI (I have zero artistic talent, even my powerpoints are bad) but if people end up liking this I'll find an artist to commission later on.
