Dreams written in blood [Reimagined vampires in a dark urban fantasy]

World changing events happen slowly, then all at once...

Good intentions can backfire in the most unexpected ways. And this time, the world was absolutely not ready for the storm that was to come.

In the noble chase for cure from cancer, an international team of scientists developed a virus capable of killing it from inside without any drawbacks. What they failed to foresee was that the virus would mutate and spread across the entire planet without anyone noticing.

Years later a magnificent event by earthly standards and a blip on the radar in the cosmic insignificance that is a comet passing by, has triggered a mutation in the virus, unlocking the ability to become Haemomancers. 
What came after was a disaster. Over a billion dead in the panic that followed. Governments rising to seize control. And most importantly a once united species, divided into monsters and persecutors. 

What should you expect from DWIB:

The World
An Urban Fantasy setting set in an alternate version of our world, with politics, philosophical dilemmas and a world that doesn't care even if you try your hardest, giving both fair and unfair endings to those within it.

Characters
Both deeply flawed and incredibly capable characters that battle their demons each in their own way while trying to find their path in this unstable time. Characters that have dreams, goals, favorite foods, fears, mental breakdowns and development of character based on their actions and the consequences the world provides.

Plot
A demanding story full of riddles, subjective perspectives, vast power and political systems, open-ended questions, technical but high adrenaline combat, while being equally crushing and fulfilling.
