- 4 Chapter 4: 2 cups of milk
- 5 Chapter 5: 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese (but make sure it's strong or it'll taste like mush)

- 12 Chapter 12: Whisk the flour, salt, and other seasoning until smooth
- 13 Chapter 13: Slowly introduce milk while stirring, bring to a low bubble
- 14 Chapter 14: Add cheese and stir until melted
- 15 Chapter 15: Drain water, add cheese sauce, and stir
- 16 Chapter 16: Stir in bacon bits, toast crumbs, and other extras
